In the KK Women's Night Tournament at the Kokan Ground the Blasters Women took on the Gigi Women's CC.
Bowling first, the Gigi Women's CC dominated the Blasters Women right from the beginning with their superb bowling and fielding that yielded 3 run-outs. For the Blasters, it was Maryam Shabbir who displayed any sort of resistance and managed to score 10 runs with one boundary to her name. In the bowling department, Mehak Ameen was the pick of the bowlers taking 2 wickets while Alishba Ashraf and Alina took 1 wicket apiece. The Blasters ended their innings at 37/6 in 6 overs.
Gigi Women's CC opened their account with opener Najeeha Alvi scoring a rapid knock of 25 runs at a strike rate of 208 with 3 boundaries and 1 six against her name. Zunaira Shah also contributed with the bat scoring 10 runs of just 3 balls with 2 boundaries. Maryam Shabbir took 2 wickets in her quota of 2 overs for the Blasters.
