The Rockets took on the Sparks in a low scoring encounter, during the on-going KK Women's Night Tournament, played at the Kokan Ground on Friday Night.
After being asked to bat first, the Sparks started cautiously with openers Javeria Qamar (6 runs of 10 balls) and Moona Sheikh (2 runs of 6 balls) playing out the initial few overs. For the Rockets, it was Kinza Wahab and Iqra Rani who kept the scoring rate at the minimum but Kiswa was the only wicket taker, taking the wicket of Javeria Qamar. Hamail Tariq top scored in a run a ball innings of 12 runs with 1 boundary to take her team to 38 runs in 6 overs.
Like the Sparks, the Rockets also started their innings cautiously with openers Kinza Wahab and Amna scoring 5 and 6 runs of 6 and 7 balls respectively. The Sparks bowling line-up could only succeed in taking 1 wicket with Hamail Tahir being the sole wicket taker. The Rockets reached the target in just 4 overs largely due to the 18 extra runs awarded to them by the Sparks.
The Rockets won the match by 7 wickets.
