The Athletic Club took on the Sparks, in another encounter of the KK Women's Night Tournament, being contested at the Kokan Ground, late on Friday night.
After opting to bat first, the Athletic Club were off to a flying start with both openers dominating throughout the innings. Mariam Bukhari top scored with an exciting 20 ball knock of 41 runs, in an innings which comprised of 4 boundaries. Fellow opener, Bibi Mariam, played an equally entertaining knock of 35 runs in 13 balls with 3 sixes and 1 boundary against her name. The Athletic Club ended their innings with a grand total of 95 runs for no loss at the end of their 6 overs.
The Athletic Club continued to dominate while in the field, with bowlers Anoosha and Fatima Sana taking 1 wicket each for 6 and 3 runs respectively. For the Sparks, Sana was the only batswomen to reach double figures with her innings of 11 runs in 13 balls. At the end of 6 overs, the Sparks could only manage to score 39 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.
The Athletic Club won the match by 56 runs
