Shan XI Win Comfortably

 

Shan XI were up against the Amadeus Super Cricketers in the Challengers FC Cup in what turned out to be a one sided affair.

After opting to bat first, Shan XI were off to a fiery start with both openers placing the bowl to all areas of the ground. Kamran Ibrahim top scored in a 42 ball 65 which included 7 fours and 2 massive sixes. His opening partner, Sami Afridi, wasn’t to far behind with a 45 run cameo in just 23 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes to his name. Ali Jiwani also contributed with a 15 ball 27 with 2 fours and sixes each. For the Super Cricketers, Rizwan Ahsan and Imran Qureshi shared 5 wickets between them. Shan XI ended their quota of 20 overs with a massive score of 192 for the loss of 7 wickets.

Amadeus Super Cricketers began their chase with openers Saad Anis and Adnan Moiz scoring freely with 49 and 47 runs respectively against their names. Combined their innings witnessed 12 boundaries and 4 massive sixes. However for Shan XI, Fahad Ali was equally outstanding with the bowl, picking up 4 wickets for just 19 runs. Due to some brilliant bowling from the Shan XI team, the Super Cricketers could not continue with the momentum set by their openers and succumbed to scoring only 152 runs.

Shan XI won the match by a large margin of 40 runs.
