Shabbirabad CC were up against Dawaai.pk Champs in the 3rd KK Ramzan Super Sixes, in a match played on Tuesday night at the illuminated UBL Sports Complex.
After electing to bat first, Dawaai.pk were off to a good start, with the opening pair of Ahsan and Kashan sharing 5 boundaries between themselves, while scoring 21 and 10 runs respectively. Fellow batsman Zohaib also chipped in with 10 runs, in an innings that included 2 boundaries but the team were unable to get the run rate to a flyer. Shabbirabad CC did well to limit the opposition with Huzaifa Mohib taking a wicket for 11 runs. Dawaai.pk ended their innings at a decent total of 43 for the loss of 1 wicket.
In response, Shabbirabad CC were off to a flying start with both openers in sublime form. Murtaza Kapasi scored a blistering 18 runs of 10 balls while Huzaifa Mohib played a critical innings of 15 runs in 8 balls. The opening partnership consisted of 3 boundaries and 1 huge six. Shabbirabad CC chased down the target of 44 runs in just 3 overs with no wickets fallen!
Shabbirabad CC won the match by 5 wickets.
