In the deciding match of day 2 of the 3rd KK Super Sixes, Karachi Star were up against Acme Technologies, in what was a crucial match for both teams with the winner progressing to the semi-finals.
Batting first, Acme Technologies, who had won their previous 2 games, were off to a shaky start with neither opener reaching double figures. For the Acme team, Ammar Iqbal was the top scorer scoring 9 runs of 6 balls with 2 boundaries against his name. The Karachi Star bowlers were on top of their game, preventing their opponents from striking the ball cleanly. Adeel Khan was the pick of the bowlers taking 2 wicket in the 2 balls he bowled while Daniyal Gigi also took 1 wicket for only 2 runs in his 1 over. Karachi Star, feeling very confident, started their chase with a bang. Opener Adeel Khan was the star batsman scoring a blistering 33 runs in just 9 balls with 2 boundaries and 4 massive sixes. Fellow opener Talha Ahmedani contributed with a quick 7 runs with 1 six. Karachi Star reached their target in just 1.5 overs.
Karachi Star won the match by 6 wickets and qualified for the semi-finals.
