The first semi-final of the 3rd KK Super Sixes, being held at the UBL Sports Complex, saw Al Hamza Sports take on AIMMZ Trading.
AIMMZ Trading, after opting to bat first, started well, with opener Adnan Akhtar scoring a fast 31 runs in just 10 balls, with the aid of 4 fours and 2 sixes. Middle order batsman, Zain Khan ended the innings on a high with an 8 ball knock of 15 runs, in an innings that included 2 boundaries. The Al Hamza Sports bowlers bowled well with Asif Izhar taking one wicket for 14 runs in his 1 over. AIMMZ Trading ended their 5 overs at a competitive score of 70 runs for the loss of 1 wicket.
Al Hamza Sports began their chase in a confident manner with both openers displaying tremendous batting throughout the tournament. However, star batsman, Deedar Anjum fell for 9 runs to bring AIMMZ Trading back into the game. Nevertheless, Zeeshan Haider scored a brilliant 32 runs in just 9 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes while fellow teammate Qureshi also contributed with 20 of 7 balls to ensure that their team would go on to win the game. Haris Shams was the lone wicket taker, scalping a wicket for 17 runs.
Al Hamza Sports won the match by 4 wickets with 5 balls remaining.
