The Final of the 3rd KK Super Sixes was played at the UBL Sports Complex late on Saturday Night. OGS took on Al Hamza Sports in a thrilling contest that saw Al Hamza Sports being crowned victorious.
OGS elected to bat first and began their innings with both openers finding the boundary lines regularly. Shehryar Qadir and Adnan Siddiqui scored freely to set the momentum for their team. Adnan Siddiqui was the highest run scorer, making 31 runs in just 13 balls with 6 boundaries against his name. Talha Faheem ended the innings on a high, with a quick 14 runs in just 4 balls with a four and a six to his name. Asif Izhar was the most economical bowler for Al Hamza Sports, conceding 13 runs in his one over. OGS, after 5 overs, scored 88 runs with no wickets falling.
Al Hamza Sports began their chase with star batsman, Deedar Anjum, scoring a breath-taking 32 runs in just 10 balls, with 5 colossal sixes, at a strike rate of 320. However, OGS fought back courtesy some great bowling by Umer Khan and Adnan Siddiqui, who took 2 wickets for 9 runs and 1 wicket for 11 runs respectively. In spite of this, Faiz and Saqib guided Al Hamza Sports to glory with composed innings of 17 and 16 correspondingly, sharing 3 fours and 3 sixes between them.
Al Hamza Sports were crowned CHAMPIONS of the 3rd KK Super Sixes as they won the final by 2 wickets.
