Blasters Win Comprehensively

In a friendly match played at the Moin Khan Academy, the Blasters took on the Super Daddy Cricket Club in what turned out to be an exciting fixture.

The Blasters batted first and were off to a flying start, with opener Faisal leading the onslaught, with a 22 ball knock of 40 runs, that included 3 fours and 3 huge sixes. Middle order batsman Atif contributed with a responsible 39 runs in 32 balls, with 3 boundaries and a six to his name. Adnan Amjad and Zohaib Bhatti were the pick of the bowlers for the Super Daddy Cricket Club, picking up 2 wickets each for 10 and 20 runs respectively. The Blasters finished off their innings on a high, at 153 for the loss of 7 wickets, courtesy Shoaib, who scored a magnificent 23 runs in just 12 balls, with 5 fours.

The Super Daddy kicked off their chase in a rather shaky manner, with their top order being sent back to the pavilion in the early overs. The Blasters bowlers bowled in a superb manner to keep the pressure on their opposition, taking wickets at short intervals. Faisal and Bilal Akheem were the key wicket takers, taking 3 wickets each, in their 3 overs, for just 10 and 24 runs respectively. The Super Daddy lower order, consisting of Jasim Talash and Shehzad Meher, tried to bring their team back on track but failed to do so. Jasim contributed 17 runs in 13 balls (1 six) while Shehzad scored a valiant 21 runs in 9 balls with a four and 2 sixes. The Super Daddy Cricket Club were restricted at 106 runs.

The Blasters won the match by 47 runs.
