All Greens Overpower CDC

CDC took on the All Greens in a friendly encounter played at the Aga Khan Gymkhana in a match that saw both teams fight till the last ball.

Batting first, CDC were off to a decent start with opener Alam contributing 35 runs in 27 balls, in an innings that included 6 fours. However, the All Greens fought back into the game with Sahib Uz Zama picking up 3 wickets for 27 runs in his 4 overs. Mohsin Waqas also bowled well to take 2 wickets for 21 runs in his quota of 4 overs. Middle order batsman Atif scored a run a ball 20 to guide his team to a decent score of 136 runs.

All Greens began their chase in a blistering manner, with opener Sameer Amin scoring a solid 33 ball half century, in an innings that included 7 boundaries and 2 sixes. Nevertheless, the CDC bowlers came back strong with Keith picking up 3 wickets for 28 runs in his 4 overs. The All Greens' lower order consisting of Zaib Zaman (29 runs of 24 balls) and Sahib Uz Zama (27 runs of 17 balls) fought hard and led their team to a great win.

All Greens won the game by 4 wickets.
