National Refinery came head to head against the GFK Etilize in a friendly encounter played at the Al Mansoora Ground.
Batting first, National Refinery were off to a flying start with opener Nizam dispatching the ball to all parts of the ground. His innings of 76 runs in 50 balls consisted of 4 fours and 5 huge sixes. With a platform set, the middle order did not disappoint as Abdullah scored a solid 24 runs with 1 four while Ali contributed with 22 runs also. The GFK Etilize bowlers bowled well with Aqeel Shah and Junaid Aijaz taking 2 wickets each. National Refinery ended their quota of 20 overs at a competitive score of 169 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.
GFK Etilize started their chase in a hesitant manner with both openers being dismissed for single figures. However Faisal Khan led the charge with a quick 22 runs in 13 balls with 4 fours to bring his team back into the game. Nevertheless, the National Refinery bowlers were also on top of their game with Rafay and Ali being the pick of the bowlers, taking 2 wickets each. Thus GFK Etilize were dismissed for just 106 runs in 16 overs.
National Refinery won the match by 63 runs.
