In a Friendly match played at the RLCA Gulberg Ground, Eagles Sports Club faced Amin XI, in what turned out to be a thriller of a game.
Amin XI batted first and were off to a confident start with opener Haris Amin scoring a responsible 39 runs in 36 balls, with 3 fours and a six. However, the Eagles Sports Club fought back into the game, courtesy some tight bowling from Muhammad Danish Meer. He finished with fantastic figures of 4 overs, 17 runs for 4 wickets. Waqas Ismail took 2 wickets for 17 runs also. Nevertheless, middle order batsman Abdul Sami played well for his 22 runs, to lead his team to a decent score of 111 for the loss of 8 wickets.
Chasing just 112 runs, the Eagles Sports Club took off in a confident manner with opener Mustafa Irfan leading from the front. His knock of 19 runs with one six did not worry Amin XI, who kept taking wickets at short intervals. Abdul Sami was the strike bowler, picking up 2 wickets for just 18 runs in his 4 overs. However, the lower batting order came to the rescue with Muhammad Farhan Khanani (19 runs off 14 balls) and Hamza Iqbal Memon (21 runs off 20 balls) ushering their team to a win.
Eagles Sports Club won the game by 1 wicket.
