In a friendly match played at the TMC Ground, ACES faced Atlas Pakistan, in what turned out to be a low scoring thriller.
Batting first, ACES were off to a hesitant start, losing their entire top order cheaply. However, when it mattered the most, the middle order stood strong with Hassnain Asad scoring a responsible 37 runs in 31 balls. His innings included just 2 boundaries. Mohtashim Siddiqui contributed with a valuable 26 runs, with a four and a six, to guide his team to an average score of 130 runs. For Atlas Pakistan, Shoaib Naqvi was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 wickets for just 19 runs.
Atlas Pakistan started their chase with opener Shabih scoring a well-paced 17 runs. However, ACES kept taking wickets at short intervals of time to maintain the pressure on their opponents. Sheraz Habib was the strike bowler, taking 3 wickets for 23 runs in his 4 overs, while Dr Adnan also bowled well to take 2 wickets. Ahnaf scored a valuable 20 runs to try and bring Atlas Pakistan over the line but failed to do so as they were dismissed for 123 runs.
ACES won the match by 7 runs.
