Hawks v Defenders
Karachi Defenders played against Hawks at Navy ground as part of the 8th residence cup. Hawks were beaten in the tournament so far so Defenders had a tough task at hand. Hawks batted first and Ali Mansoor Zaidi was in prime form as he hit 65 runs off just 38 balls. Faraz Qazi's impressive 60 runs off 44 balls further helped push the scoring rate and Hawks ended at a competitive 174 for 6 in 20 overs. For Defenders, Faraz took 2 wickets while Qasim, Sumair and Abdul Rafay got a wicket each.
In reply, Faraz wahid and Agha Chow got Defenders off to a brilliant start and took the game away from Hawks as they had an opening partnership of 167 runs. Agha was out after having scored 89 runs off just 60 balls while Faraz took his team home with a composed 63 runs off 42 deliveries. Defenders raced home with more than 2 overs left.
Defenders won by 9 wickets.
