Karachi Fighters v VMA
VMA batted first this past Sunday in what turned out to be a completely one sided affair. Openers Kamil Mehmood and Jahangir got their team off to a decent start with knocks of 35 and 32 respectively before Saad Asif stepped in to really propel his side's total. His knock of 84 came off just 40 balls including 5 boundaries and 6 sixes. Mansoor and Shayan also chipped in to help propel VMA to a mammoth 195 for 3 in 20 overs. For Fighters Shoaib and Adnan took a wicket each.
The 2nd innings was pure and utter carnage. Karachi Fighters openers came out guns blazing with Adnan Siddiqui leading from the front. His outstanding knock of 140 came off just 61 balls including 12 boundaries and 10 maximums! His partner Taimoor Ali stood strong on the other end with his knock of 49. Both batsmen remained not out with VMA bowlers completely helpless against this onslaught. Karachi Fighters chased down the target 18 overs.
Karachi Fighters won by 10 wickets.
