Defenders and Stallions played an important match of the 8th residence cup at SKBZ cricket ground. Defenders batted first and Faraz Wahid was in prime form as he has been throughout the tournament and was unlucky to miss his century as he spearheaded the Defenders batting with 91 runs off 52 deliveries which included 11 boundaries and 3 sixes. Agha Chow got 28 runs while Wasiq hit 58 runs off 44 deliveries to propel Defenders to a very good total of 203 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allocated 20 overs. For Stallions, Hannan took 2 wickets while Saad Dawood, Abdul Samad Ghani and Idrees got a wicket each.
In reply, Stallions put on a dismal batting show as they lost wickets regularly and only Idrees with 33 and Hasan with 15 runs reached double figures as Stallions were all out for just 100 runs and could not chase down the huge total put up by Defenders. For Defenders, Sumair got 2 wickets, Maaz got 2 wickets while Rafay, Ali and Faraz got a wicket each,
Defenders won by 103 runs.
