FA sports and VMA locked horns in an important match of the 17th Challengers Cup at TMC cricket ground. FA Sports batted first and lost 2 early wickets of Abdul Majid and Fayyaz. However, opener M Asif continued to play his shots freely as he got 45 runs off 40 deliveries while Khurram scored 55 runs off 27 balls at a strike rate of 203% and Ali Waqas knocked 21 runs to propel their team to a competitive total of 145 for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. For VMA, Naveed took 3 wickets while Rehan got 2 wickets and Waqas, Hamza Rangoonia and Hamza Shahnawaz picked up a wicket each.
Faced with a required run rate in excess of 7 runs per over, VMA lost opener Aamir Majeed early after he had scored 4 runs. However, Uzair with 33 runs and Khurram Wahab with 38 runs off 22 balls ensured the scoreboard kept ticking before Naveed Nagda's 31 runs off 21 balls while FA Sports conceded 28 extras which enabled VMA to reach home in 17 overs for the loss of just 4 wickets. For FA Sports, Fayyaz, Khurram, Asif and Ali got a wicket each.
