Karachi Demons played against ICT at Al Mansoora cricket ground as part of the 17th Challengers Cup match. Karachi Demons batted first and opener Syed Ibrahim got them off to a good start with 30 runs before Umair with 34 and Anas with 31 upped the ante but ICT bowlers pulled back the run scoring rate as Demons were all out for just 137 runs . Nafay was chief destroyer as he took 5 wickets for a mere 22 runs while Talha got 2 wickets and Ahmed, Saad and Anas picked up a wicket each.
In reply, ICT lost openers Ahmed Husain and Bilal Majeed early but Ibaad khan with 59 runs and Talha Ahmedani with 23 runs ensured stability in the batting line up before Adeel khan with 20 runs off 13 balls ensured that ICT scraped home for the loss of 7 wickets with 10 balls to spare. A valiant effort on the part of Karachi Demons bowlers against a strong ICT batting line up but in the end it was the opposition who emerged on top due to some sensible batting by their key batsmen. For Demons, Umair got 3 wickets while Munawar, Moin, Shayan and Ahmer took a wicket each.
ICT won by 3 wickets.
