Young Qasim CC went head to head with CP Youngsters at Asifabad this past Saturday. Batting first Young Qasim CC lost opener Imran early on for just 7 runs and continued to struggle with the bat much in part to Ahsan Altaf. He picked up 4 wickets, not giving anything away to the batting side. Kashif Amin and Zahid then knocked 28 and 22 runs to keep the scoreboard ticking before Sami Ur Rehman further propelled their side's total with a blistering 38 which included 2 sixes. CP bowler Anas Sattar also took 2 wickets with Arsalan, Osama and Areeb picking up a wicket each. Young Qasim CC posted a total of 170 for 9 in 20 overs.
In response CP Youngsters were off to a solid start with both openers Sufiyan and Hassan putting runs on the board with 14 and 21 respectively but things took a turn for the worse when the duo were dismissed. The team lost 3 quick wickets cheaply and were unable to recover from there with only Hammad Khurram showing intent with his knock of 39. Anas and Osama also tried to propel their side further with 17 and 11 but it was too little too late. Qasim bowlers had done well to restrict the opposition with Ahmed Qureshi and Hammad Imran taking 3 wickets each. CP Youngsters were limited to 139 for 7 in 20 overs.
Young Qasim CC won by 31 runs.
