A very exciting match took place between Classic Barbarians and Suleman Textile Stallions at Asghar Ali Shah Stadium as part of the Memon Super League Season 2. Classic batted first and lost Taha Zindani and Kamil Mehmood early while Umair Yusuf and Muhammad Asad followed soon after. Ahsan Zafar stabilized the innings with 26 runs off 34 deliveries but he did not get support from the other end and only a late innings aggressive knock by Ali Bantwa of 34 runs off 10 deliveries at a strike rate of 340% helped Barbarians to post a somewhat decent score of 132 for the loss of 6 wickets. For Stallions, Idrees Amin and Noman Saleem took 2 wickets each while Waseem Ali and Muhammad Ali picked up a wicket each.
In reply, Stallions opener Talha Ahmedani hit 25 runs off just 8 balls at a strike rate of 313% but after he was out along with Fahad Jabbar, Stallions were under some pressure. Ali Mehar played a sedate knock of 48 runs off 46 deliveries but wickets kept falling at the other end as Dawood Dawson, Muhammad ali, Shehzad Suleman, Noman Ampara and Waseem ali were all dismissed cheaply and the match went down to the wire and with Idrees Amin and Muzammil Chaipi at the crease, the winning run was scored off the very last ball as Stallions scraped home with 2 wickets in hand. For Barbarians, Muhammad Asad took 3 wickets, Naveed Rangoonia got 2 wickets and Hunain, Salman and Captain Shahid Nepal picked up a wicket each.
Suleman Textile Stallions won by 2 wickets.
Man of the match: Al Mehar (Stallions)
