Al Akhwan and Okhai Friends cricket team locked horns at RLCA cricket ground. Batting first, Al Akhwan lost Muhammad Siddiqui after he had scored 15 runs but his partner Tahir Geta was in prime form and was unlucky to miss his century as he scored 92 runs off just 43 deliveries at a strike rate of 215%. He hit the ball to all corners of the park with 7 boundaries and 7 huge sixes. While wickets kept falling at the other end, Tahir remained undeterred and scored aggressively. In addition to Tahir, other contributors were Waqar with 14 and Farhan with 16 runs as Al Akhwan ended at 186 for 9 in 20 overs. For Okhai friends, Mohsin Saleem took 3 wickets while Jamil and Irfan got 2 wickets each and Ahmed and Imran picked up a wicket each.
In reply, Okhai Friends cricket team did not give up easily and put up a good fight despite Ahmed, Uzair and Khuzaima being out early and for low scores. Asim Imam scored 36 runs and Mohsin Saleem who had earlier contributed with the ball also scored 22 runs while batting at number 7. Imran Mohammadi hit 38 runs off 22 deliveries in a last ditch attempt to get his team home but Okhai Friends could only manage a total of 160 runs for the loss of 8 wickets and one player Irfan Data was retired hurt. For Al Akhwan, Kamran took 3 wickets and Saqib got 2 wickets while Farhan and Arsalan picked up a wicket each.
Al Akhwan won by 26 runs.
