Crushers went up against Casta this past Sunday at Al Mansoora. Batting first, Crushers opening batsman Danish Saleem hit an impressive 58 off 41 which included 6 boundaries. The rest of the team however struggled with the bat, throwing away their wickets without contributing much as Casta's bowlers continued to keep the pressure on. Sarfaraz and Ali were the key wicket takers with 2 scalps each while Tayyab, Ahsan and Faraz picked up a wicket each. Crushers were eventually restricted to 152 for 9 in 20 overs.
In response, Casta lost opener Maroof for just 7 but the rest of the chasing side put up a strong front. His partner Rizwan hit a handy 31 while Danish Aftab also contributed a cameo of 25. The real hero of the day was Muhammad Haseeb whose half century knock included 5 boundaries and 3 sixes to see his side home in 16.4 overs. Crushers bowler Danish Hanif picked up 2 wickets, while Danish Riaz and Danish Saleem took a wicket each.
Casta won by 6 wickets.
