Okhai Friends went up against Jojis this past Sunday. Batting first, Okhai lost opener Ahmed Sharjeel for duck but the team were soon saved by Asim Imam and Fawad who stabilized the innings. Asim knocked a useful 28 but it was Fawad who stole the show with a blistering 82 which included 7 sixes. Khuzaima also chipped in with 16 but none of the subsequent batsmen were able to effectively contribute and were dismissed in single digits. Jojis bowlers did well to limit the opposition with Danish starring in his spell with 4 wickets for 27 runs. Faizan also took 2 wickets while Imran and Asif picked up a wicket each. Okhai Friends ended at 148 for 9 in 20 overs.
In response Jojis opener Jawaid lost his wicket for 8 but the team recovered well. His partner Faizan smashed a mindblowing 59 at a strike rate of over 300 which included 4 boundaries and 6 sixes. Nawaz also scored 32 and minor contributions by the remaining batsmen helped Jojis comfortably get over the line in 15 overs. Jamil picked up 2 wickets for his side while Mohsin Saleem and on point Fawad took a wicket each.
Jojis won by 4 wickets.
