Wonder Boys went head to head against Lal Qila CC this past Sunday. Batting first Wonder Boys put up a wonderful display with the bat with Opener Imran Ali knocking 24 runs. It was however one down Sheraz Rana that really stole the show with an impressive 76 off 34 at a strike rate of over 200. He was partnered with Hassan whose half century boosted the side's total. For Lal Qila, the bowlers were unable to contain the opposition but Abdur Rehman and Zaiby Ahmed picked up 2 wickets each while Shoaib and Usman took a wicket each. Wonder Boys CC ended at 209 for 6 in 20 overs.
In response, Lal Qila CC's opener Zaiby Ahmed was in form and on fire with a fiery 63 to get his team off to a flying start. However he received little support on the other end as the batsmen continued to throw away some decent starts. Abdur Rehman chipped i with 29 runs but Lal Qila were limited to 181 runs. Kashif Kabra was the key wicket taker for Wonder Boys CC with 3 scalps while Imran Ali took 2 wickets and Daniyal, Sajid and Wahab picked up a wicket each.
Wonder Boys CC won by 28 runs.
