When Royal Stars stepped in to bat against Ghulam Farooq CC, the team were bowled out for just 92 runs. GFCC bowler Idrees was unstoppable in his 4 wicket spell that had the Royal Stars batsmen struggling throughout the innings. With only Khizar Azam and Haris posting fighting knocks of 18 runs each, 8 of the Stars batsmen were dismissed in single digits in just 17.2 overs. Adnan Suleman also took 2 wickets.
With a low total to chase, it looked like GFCC would have the upper hand going in but instead imploded. After their top 3 batsmen were dismissed cheaply, Shariq Hussain and Asad took over the recovery. The pair contributed 34 and 22 runs and almost got their team over the line before Shaheer and Asim changed the narrative. The pair took a combined 7 wickets to completely decimate any chance GFCC had of chasing down the target with 4 of the remaining batsmen out for duck. GFCC could only manage 92 in 16 overs.
