Jetpur Strikers and Bantva Lions went head to head as Match#5 of the Memon Cricket League (MCL) went underway with yet another clinical performance by Bantva Lions. Batting first, Jetpur Strikers were off to a disastrous start after losing opener Imran Chottani for just 4 runs. Ahmed Moten then tried to lead the recovery with his cameo of 24 but the Strikers batting kept losing wickets too frequently to gain any momentum. Idrees Amin and captain Usman Yunus Ghani then took over the reigns to fight back with valuable knocks of 30 and 54 runs respectively to try and save their side from a collapse. Bilal Omer on the other end was outstanding with the ball and his been on fire at this tournament so far with 4 wickets. Ubaid Umer also chipped in with 2 and some decent line and length bowling by the remaining unit kept the pressure on the Strikers throughout. Jetpur Strikers were limited to 149 runs in 20 overs.
In response, Bantva Lions showed their domination from the top. Star opener Fahad Jabbar smashed an impressive 50 runs to get his team off to a flying start. Bilal Omer, Rabish Ahmed and Adeel Sabuwala then kept the momentum going with 31, 43 and 22 runs respectively to wrap up a clinical victory in 16.3 overs. Jetpur Strikers stood no chance with only Madni Zubair picking up 2 wickets.
Bantva Lions won by 8 wickets.
