The 7th Saleem Jaffrani tournament final took place this past Sunday with PDXI batting first against Jojis Sports. The team however were outdone by a sublime display of bowling by Ali who showed no signs of stopping. His 5 wicket spell ripped through the opposition giving away only 17 runs. Ali Yaqoob was the only batsmen to show some resistance with a fighting knock of 42 runs as PDXI were bowled out for 144 in 19 overs. Khawar also took 2 wickets in his spell.
With a strong start with the ball, Jojis Sports had the advantage stepping in. The team put up a solid innings with both openers contributing cameos in their twenties. Faizan however was outstanding in his half century knock. His match winning 56 came at a mammoth strike rate of over 200. PDXI bowlers were unable to stop the onslaught and despite Ali Yaqoob trying hard with his 2 wickets, they were unable to defend their team's total. Jojis Sports chased down the target in 15.5 overs.
