Super Daddy CC batted first against Karachi Boat Club in a friendly match. The top order didn’t prove to be effective and went on to score some odd runs. But it was Adeel Mansha from the middle order who took the load on his shoulders and played a dexterous innings of 73 runs. Mohammed Naveed then managed to keep the scoreboard taking with his knock of 28 runs. A quick 22 runs by Navaid Lassi from down the order helped Super Daddy CC to boost the scorecard with a total of 199 runs in 22 overs at the cost of 8 wickets. The bowling side though continuing to pick up wickets in regular intervals leaked too many runs. Ahsan Wali and Faraz were the top bowlers from Karachi Boat Club claiming 3 wickets each in 3 and 5 overs respectively.
Karachi Boat Club had a fine start with their openers scoring a fifty and a hundred. Atif Ahmed played a fabulous innings and scored a staggering ton. But it was Muhammad Arshad’s low strike-rate fifty which drowned the ship of Karachi Boat Club. The team was able to set only 183 runs on the scoreboard in 22 overs despite losing just one wicket. Super Daddy bowlers comfortingly controlled the batting side through their economical bowling. Babar Mufti was the only wicket taking bowler from their side taking one wicket.
