Karachi All-Stars batted first against Amazing Stars in a friendly match which was completely a one sided show. The team had an amazing start with their openers outclassing the opponents. Faraz Wahid Khan played a spectacular innings of 77 runs while his partner Qasim scored 31 runs to build a momentous partnership. Asad Mehdi’s 31 runs from the middle order helped All-Stars to set a huge target of 187 runs in 20 overs at the cost of 6 wickets. Amazing Stars bowlers looked completely helpless with their economies. Haseeb and Mani were the only wicket taking bowlers claiming 4 and 2 wickets respectively.
Amazing Stars seemed to be out of the competition from the beginning. Though the openers showed some resistance, the rest of the team proved to be vulnerable. Except for Sunil, Mani, and Anas, who scored 28, 21 and 19 runs respectively, nobody even bothered to enter into the double figures. The bowlers of All-Stars did an excellent job and bowled the whole team out. The flamboyant bowlers from the bowling side were Maaz and Ammar Altaf who took 4 and 2 wickets respectively. The rest of the bowlers also contributed to bowl Amazing Stars out for 116 runs in 14.4 overs.
Karachi All-Stars won by 71 runs.
