Karachi Patriots Trounce Super Daddy CC

Karachi Patriots batted first against Super Daddy CC in a match of Legends Cup. The openers got dismissed soon but then one-down Haris Altaf took the responsibility and played a sensible knock of 37 runs and pulled his team out of the early damage. Ghazanfer Ritchie then continued the execution of the plan and scored a dazzling fifty allowing the following batsmen to go for the big hits. A quick 28 runs from Faraz Ahmed in the concluding overs helped Patriots to set a total score of 171 on the scoreboard for the loss of 8 wickets. Super Daddy bowlers though continuing to pick up wickets in the regular intervals leaked so much runs making it difficult for their batsmen to do the job. Noman, Abid and Naveed from Daddies bagged 2 wickets each.

The bowlers of Karachi Patriots continued from where there batsmen had left and bided to dominate the opposition. Faisal Butt’s 3 and Adeel Abbasi’s 2 wickets played a key role in limiting the opposition to 149 runs only in the allotted 20 overs. Though Maqbool and Abid from Super Daddy tried to give a fight, they did not get any assistance from their teammates. Maqbool scored 36 and Abid played a knock of 44 runs but both of these innings ended up in a losing cause.

Karachi Patriots won by 22 runs.
