Atif’s Hardwork In Vain Again

Sons of Pitches batted first against Karachi Boat Club in a friendly match. Sons of Pitches got a solid start from their openers as Babar Sheikh scored 22 and Farhad Khan played a splendid innings of 41 runs with a felicitous strike rate of 178. The little contributions from many of the rest of the batsmen helped Sons of Pitches to decorate the scoreboard with 170 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. The most remarkable performance amongst the rest of the batsmen is 19 off 9 from a tail-ender Moiz. Karachi Boat Club bowlers though picking up wickets in regular intervals failed to control the flow of runs. Faraz and Iqbal were the leading wicket takers from Karachi Boat Club securing 2 wickets each.

Karachi Boat Club had an excellent start as the opener Atif Ahmed brutally hammered the opposition and smashed 84 runs of just 49 deliveries. The team after Atif’s innings was very much on the winning track but after Moiz from Sons of Pitches took his golden wicket, nobody from his teammates followed his footsteps. Sons of pitches bowlers beautifully made a comeback and kept on taking wickets to limit the opposition to just 148 runs in 19.4 overs for the loss of 9 wickets. Zubair, Moiz and Amir’s 4, 3 and 2 wickets respectively played a vital role in the victory of Sons of Pitches.
