Trail Blazers Cricket Club played the 3rd match of their five match series against Karachi Hawks at SKBZ cricket ground. Hawks won the toss and decided to bat first and captain Idrees Durrani led from the front with a sublime 65 runs off 46 deliveries and was assisted by Abdul Hadi who contributed 31 off 19 deliveries. Abdul Rehman furthered the cause with 19 runs and Adeel Abbasi who was playing as a guest for Hawks knocked an impressive 45 runs off 28 deliveries as Hawks ended at a massive 197 for the loss of 5 wickets at the end of 20 overs. For Trail Blazers, Saad Dawood, Ansar Bhesania, Salman Dossani, Owais Gigi and Murtaza Salim took a wicket each.
In reply, Blazers refused to give up without a fight even though they lost Adamjee Tai for 4 runs and Adnan saleem for 7 runs. Faisal Butt on one end continued to play his shots and scored a majestic 90 runs off just 46 deliveries and was unlucky to not get a century. Shahzad Arain also scored 43 off 27 balls but other than Afzal Gigi, who managed 16 runs, none of the other batsmen clicked and Trail Blazers ended at 181 for 9 in 20 overs. It was a good fight but they fell short in the end. For Hawks, Abdur Rehman, Haider and Adeel took 2 wickets each while Hasan and Imran picked up a wicket.
Hawks won by 16 runs.
