Trail Blazers CC and Karachi Hawks played their 2nd match of the five match series at SKBZ cricket ground. It was an interesting encounter which went down to the wire. Trail Blazers batted first and lost both openers Ovais Gigi and Adamjee Tai early after each had scored 9 runs. Ansar Anis Bhesania was out for a duck and then Tayyab R Balagamwala with 10 and Ayaz with 16 stabilized the innings. Aamir Noor with 23, Adeel Abbasi with 28 and Faisal Butt with 37 then ensured the team ended at a respectable 143 for 6 in 20 overs. For Karachi Hawks, captain Idrees Durrani and Luqman took 2 wickets each while Hasan got a wicket and there was one run out.
In reply, Ali Mansoor Zaidi and Idrees Durrani got Hawks off to a good start but Ali was out after scoring 32 runs. Adeel with 19 and Talha with 15 contributed to the cause and Idrees Durrani continued to play his beautiful strokes at the other end but when his wicket fell after he had scored 72 runs, the match went down to the wire. At one stage Hawks needed 30 off 30 but some good bowling in the death overs by Adeel Abbasi and Murtaza Salim along with Salman Rafiq Dossani brought the game close and 6 runs were needed off the last over.
Salman Dossani restricted the batsmen to 4 runs off the first 5 balls and with 2 needed off the last ball, Jibrail showed mental strength and hit a six to get Karachi Hawks over the line in this exciting encounter as they ended at 148 for 4 in 20 overs. Adeel Abbasi Salman Rafiq Dossani took 2 wickets while Adeel Abbasi and Adamjee Tai picked up a wicket each for Trail Blazers.
Karachi Hawks won by 6 wickets.
