An exciting contest took place between Trail Blazers Cricket Club and Karachi Hawks at SKBZ Cricket ground as both played the 4th match of their 5 match friendly series. Both are very competitive teams and came head to head and played some extra ordinary cricket as more than 450 runs were scored in 40 overs during the game. Rameez Mehboob started off for Hawks with a boom boom master blaster knock as he hit 51 runs off just 20 deliveries while Faraz Qazi got 66 runs at the other end. While both had managed to get 101 runs in 6 overs, some good bowling in middle overs brought down the run flow but Captain Idrees Durrani with 72 off 36 ensured his team ended at a mammoth 229 for the loss of 4 wickets in the end. For Trail Blazers, Rehan Hanif, Adeel Abbasi and Mohammed Afzal Ilyas got a wicket each.
In reply, Trail Blazers lost Tayyab R Balagamwala for 5 runs and Adamjee Tai for 19 runs but Muhammad Shahzad Anwar Arain was undeterred as he hit 52 off 23 balls while Imran shah got 22 off 11 and Faizan Mustafa got 30 runs off 20 balls. Hawks pulled back the run flow with some quick wickets of Adeel Abbasi (12), Ayaz Bhesania (8) and Aamir Noor (5) but Rehan Hanif and Afzal Ilyas had a 48 runs partnership for the 10th wicket with Rehan getting 44 off 21 and Afzal Ilyas got 9 runs and both brought their team close but could not get over the finish line as Trail Blazers ended at 223 for 8 in 20 overs. For Hawks, Idrees took 3 wickets, Abdul Hadi got 2 wickets while Ashraf, A Rehman and Hamza got a wicket each,
A very well fought match with both sides putting in an extraordinary effort with Hawks emerging as the eventual victors and leading the series 3-1
