ICT played against Friends XI at Asifabad cricket ground as part of the 20th Challengers Cup. ICT batted first and Adeel khan with 39 off 14 and Talha Ahmedani with 22 runs got them off to a flyer. However, it was Ibaad khan who played fluently and scored a brilliant century as he knocked a blistering 102 off just 53 balls at a strike rate of 193% and Ajdal Aziz supported him with 56 off 35 balls as ICT ended at a mammoth 245 for 2 in 20 overs. For Friends XI, Abdul Wasay and Adnan got a wicket each.
In reply, Friends XI were in trouble from the start and under pressure. Iftikhar Ali got 13 runs but Tahir Iqbal was out for a duck and Adnan followed after scoring just 11 runs. Abdul Wasay with 25 and Ashar with 23 were the others who contributed but Friends XI collapsed to a meager 93 all out. For ICT, Ahmed Hussain was outstanding picking up 3 wickets for just 3 runs along with Sabih Merchant who also took 3 wickets and Haris Altaf and Mamoon got a wicket each while waqas took 2 wickets.
ICT won by 152 runs.
