Al Zohaib batted first against Suleman Textile Stallions at the Vanthali Premier League. The team did well come together impressively with their top order contributing at the top. Rehan Hanif knocked 28, while Amir Majeed's 39 and valuable knocks of 36 each by Naveed Nagda and Hamza Shahnawaz put their side on top. Suleman bowlers kept at it, picking up wickets consistently to pull the innings back in their favour. Abdul Aziz was the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets while the rest of the unit chipped in as Al Zohaib ended at 160 for 6 in 20 overs.
In response, Suleman's star opener Rameez Mehboob was brilliant with the bat proving to be a real hero for his side. While the rest of the batsmen continued to throw away their wickets early on, Rameez knocked an impressive 89 off 46 including 6 boundaries and 5 sixes. Shehzad Suleman eventually clicked lower down the order with 24 runs as Suleman pulled off the chase in 18.5 overs. Zohaib bowlers were impressive with the ball, doing significant damage early on.
