Pak Strikers batted first against Karachi Demons at the 22nd Challengers Cup, losing opener Arbab Ghulam for duck! The team however found their footing after that with his patner Sufiyan and one down Burhan Moosa contributing 43 and 56 runs effectively. Farhan Khan also chipped in with 33 but after that the team struggled. With the top order dismissed, the subsequent batsmen weren't able to capitalize on the foundation set, throwing away their wickets. Umair Majeed was sensational in his spell, picking up 4 wickets with Aziz Shahid and Muhammad Shakeel further assisting with 2 wickets each. Pak Strikers ended at 151 for 9 in 20 overs.
In response, Karachi Demons stumbled early on in the chase after losing 3 quick wickets. The pair of Umairs, Rizvi and Adamjee then took over. Umair Rizvi's sublime 51 kept his side alive in the game and was soon partnered with Umair Adamjee who scored a blistering 67 off 36 to take Karachi Demons to victory in 14.2 overs. Despite the early breakthroughs, Pak Strikers were unable to pull the opposition back. Tauseef Rafiq picked up 2 wickets for his side.
