ENM batted first against Khas XI at the Benitoz Super League with their openers getting their side off to a decent start. Haris Maqbool chipped in with 30 at the top while Ahsan Shafiq scored 18 runs and one down Bilal Ahmed knocked a handy 32. The real star of the day however was Humayun Alamgir with a sublime 96 off just 44 balls including 9 boundaries and 6 sixes. He required no support in helping ENM reach a formidable 193 for 7 in 20 overs. Tahir Bakshi Illahi was the key bowler for his side with 2 wickets.
In response, Khas XI were off to a shaky start after losing opener Saad for duck. Yasir Tanveer and Mustafa Farrukh tried to provide some stability with knocks of 29 and 38 runs respectively. The team however could not get going at any stage, unable to build an innings to take their side over the line. Hassan Javed knocked 37 runs while Khurram Ashfaq scored a fiery 23 off 14 but Khas XI were restricted to 163 for 8 in 20 overs. ENM bowlers chipped away at the opposition with Danish Alvi taking 2 wickets.
ENM won by 30 runs.
