After Ahmed Hussain suffered a golden duck, Bilal Associates managed to recover and regain their composure and put up a competitive total of 135 runs. However this could not stall Strikers CC from securing the victory with 4 wickets remaining.
Bilal Associates’ batting order could not produce an outstanding or match-winning knock with the batsmen only able to manage cameos before throwing their wickets away. Asadullah Nawab and Nadeem Akthar were in-form and on fire, picking up 3 wickets each in their spells while Abdul Samad picked up a couple.
In response, Strikers CC lost both their openers for duck and were off to a worse start than their rivals! However, the chasing side produced a volley of well-scoring knocks which ultimately shifted the match in their favor and allowed the remaining batsmen to cruise to the finish. Bilal Associates bowlers tried to fight back, chipping in to pick up a wicket each but were unable to defend their side's total. Strikers CC chased down the target in 19.2 overs.
