National Refinery Defeat Allied Engineering

National Refinery overcame Allied Engineering in a monumental match this past Saturday at the Al Mansoora Ground.

Allied Engineering batted the first innings and after overcoming the initial hiccup from losing two quick wickets, they managed to make a comeback which was most prominent in their middle order as Mohammad Sumair scored a resounding 60 from 37 deliveries. This was by far the best performance in their innings. Every single National Refinery bowler who played this inning took a wicket with the exception of Imran Khan, who took two. Allied Engineering put up a competitive total of 157 in 20 overs for the loss of seven wickets.

National Refinery, however, quickly overcame the challenge and in just 15.4 overs for the loss of just four wickets made 160 runs. A large credit for their victory goes mostly to Ahsan Zafar who made a sensational 89 from just 41 deliveries and still remained not out. With the exception of Naseer Ahmed, every single Allied Engineering bowler took a single wicket in this innings.
