In what turned out to be an outstanding performance, Ridan Warriors defeated Zaifti’s CC by a large margin of 77 runs at the Eastern Star Cricket Ground this past Sunday.
Ridan Warriors were aggressive right from the start and in 20 overs for the loss of six wickets, managed to make a commendable 207 runs. This was thanks to stellar performances from Anas Javed who made 40 runs from 34 balls, Ali Iqbal who made a spectacular 71 from 40 and Haris Anees who made a very impressive 43 runs from just 19 deliveries and remained not out. Zaifti’s bowler Muhammad Zulfiqar took three wickets, Muhammad Maaz took two and Muhammad Owais took one.
Zaifti’s CC was unable to take on the challenge and they managed to only make 130 runs in 20 overs for the loss of five wickets. Yaseen Hunani, Ammar Riaz and Navaid Hashmani performed well and made 32, 39 and 28 runs respectively. Fayyaz Hussain from the Ridan Warriors took two wickets while Adeel Majeed and Shahzaib Farooq took one each.
