Okhai Panthers beat the Okhai Blasters by a colossal 70 runs at the RLCA Gulberg this past week on the 19th of April.
Okhai Panthers owe their victory in large part to their opening batsman Shakir Suleman Ghaziani who made an astounding 122 from just 44 deliveries to help push his team to a total of 226 in 20 overs for the loss of just four wickets.Ammar Riaz Jafrani contributed by making 39 from 31 and remaining not out. Khuzaima Dawood Karar took two wickets while Salman Asif and Hanzala Yaseen Jafrani took one.
Okhai Blasters could not chase the target and fell after making just 156 in 20 overs for the loss of ten wickets. Despite strong attempts by the opening batsmen to try and get the run rate going, the middle and lower order could not deliver and the target was simply too high for them to chase. Naeem Ali Vayani took a very impressive four wickets. Ammar Riaz Jafrani took two. Shakir Suleman Ghaziani, Furqan Kath and Muhammad Waqas Gaba took one wicket.
