Super Daddy CC Through To The Final

What a match! Super Daddy Cricket Club knock out tournament favorites Mandviwalla Group at the 3rd All Karachi League this past Saturday.

Batting first, Mandviwalla were off to a terrible start after losing opener Taha Qadi for duck. The team struggled after that, losing a flurry of quick wickets as Super Daddies bowlers kept at it. Akthar Ahmed then helped stabilize things with a sensible 60 while Abdul Basit and Shamim Ahmed's cameos of 28 and 24 runs respectively boosted their side to a respectable 158 for 7 in 20 overs. Super Daddies bowlers all chipped in to restrict the side, picking up wickets regularly.

In response, the second half turned out to be a complete cracker of a match! Super Daddy CC were off to a strong start in the chase with Adeel Mansha contributing 35 and Shahzad Jumani's 16. Sheryar Qadir kept the momentum going with his 36 and the team seemed well on their way before Mandviwalla's bowlers began to make inroads. The trio of Abdul Rehman, Abdul Basit and Hasnain Gujar took 2 wickets each as the Daddies lost control but it was Ali Mufti's blistering 16 off 5 that held it together to see their side to the final with 1 ball to spare.

Super Daddy Cricket Club won by 3 wickets and will be facing Karachi Boat Club at the final.
