Arsalan Iqbal CC did their absolute best and came away the winners of the 22nd Challengers Cup against the Ridan Warriors in the final.
Arsalan Iqbal batted first and were off to spectacular start. Afroz Khan made 25 from 18, Adnan Siddiqui made 37 from 27, Irteza Khan made 51 from 40, not out. Ammar Iqbal made 51 from 24 and Monik Khan made 23 from 9. The team made 208 in 20 overs for the loss of five wickets. Ahsan Hussain took two while Adeel A Majid and Shahzaib Farooq took one.
Ridan Warriors despite 32 from 32 by Fayyaz Hussain, 23 from 20 by Afnan Karim and 40 from 29 by Anas Javed, could not match the target. They made 125 in 20 overs for the loss of eight wickets. Tauqeer Khan took four wickets while Afroz Khan, Arsalan Iqbal and Shahid Khan along with Hassan Kashif took one wicket.
