Arshad Associates beat the Dubai Hawks by a staggering 41 runs at the RLCA Gulberg this past week.
Mirza Shoaib was the star player for Arshad CC scoring 71 from 52 and helping to push the team’s total to 139 in 20 overs for the loss of eight wickets. Sohaib Ejaz also made a quick 20 runs from nine deliveries. Dawood Shah, Rafay Malik and Owais took two wickets while Daniyal Liaquat and Khurram Chaudhry took one wicket.
The Dubai Hawks struggled to chase the target and this was evident all throughout their batting order. Noman Shahid’s 18 from 20 and Ibaad Khan’s 21 from 16 was the seemingly only ray of hope for the Hawks but they were stopped in their tracks at just 98 runs scored in 17.3 overs. Akhtar Mohammad took three wickets while Nadir Shah took two and Sohaib Ejaz, Faisal Ameen, Ejaz Shah and Shahid Ali took one wicket..
