Thanks to an unstoppable innings by Idrees Ahmed Durrani, Wood Craft was able to beat Afzal Books International by a staggering 51 runs at the Eidgah Ground this week.
There were several heavy hitters on the Wood Craft team; Ghulam Ali Mustafa made 34 from 15, Idrees Ahmed Durrani made 95 from just 49 balls and remained not out and Raja Saqlain Abbas made 64 from 31. They made 226 in 20 overs for the loss of five wickets. Mohsin and Ammar Riaz Jafrani took two wickets each while Imran Muhammadi took one.
Opener Sharjeel Ahmed for Afzal Books was equally as impressive scoring 93 from 63. His efforts were only of so much help since the rest of the team could not reciprocate the scoring and Afzal Books ended up at 175 in 20 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Aatif Memon took three wickets while Usama Sheikh took two and Rafay Khan took one.
