Day 2 of the Women's Cricket Tournament organized by Khelo Kricket and Multan Sultans was marked by exciting matches and moments as the defending champions, the Athletic Club enjoyed a dominating performance in Group B.
They won their first match against Fighters by seven wickets thanks to 16 from 15 by Huraina and 13 from 5 by Maham. Areeba and Rida took one wicket each for the Athletics. Sana (17 from 17) and Ayesha Malik (10 from 14) were unable to give the Athletics a challenge.
In the second match of Group B, the Green Royals earned a razor close finish against AKYSB-Red as they won the match by one run. AKYSB-Red put up a tough fight with Farnaz scoring 21 from 16 and Nasira scoring 15 from 16 but a 24 from 21 by Kinza and 7 from 7 by Khizra sealed the deal for the Green Royals.
In the third bout, the Athletic Club were once again victorious in what was an absolutely dominating performance, winning the match against the Green Royals by 57 runs thanks to a spectacular 57 from just 18 by Areeba and 32 from 18 by Maham, both of who remained not out.
The fourth match of the Group took place between Fighters and AKYSB-Red in which the Fighters emerged victorious by three runs. Mehak (24 from 12) and Sana (15 from 10) guided the Fighters to victory and despite 24 from 20 by Hira and 14 from 10 by Nasira from AKYSB-Red, it was not enough to beat the Fighters.
The fifth match saw the Athletic Club winning once again and by ten wickets as they beat AKYSB-Red. Huraina and Subhana from the Athletic Club made 13 from 8 and 7 from 5 respectively while Uzma and Komal from AKYSB-Red made 5 and 4.
In the final match, the Fighters won by 13 runs against the Green Royals thanks to a splendid partnership of 56 between Sana (36 from 20) and Mehak (20 from 11) which helped the Fighters earn a decisive win.
