IAP put on a bowling masterclass against the Maverick Stars, beating them by seven wickets at the TMC Ground.
The Maverick Stars batted first and despite their attempts to get going and have a set batsman on the crease, the wickets just kept falling thanks to some very aggressive bowling from IAP who restricted the Maverick Stars to 116 in 19.1 overs before they were all out. Owais Anjum Gulzar made 21 from 23 and Ali Sohail made 19 from 18 as the highest scorers of the innings. Umer Noor and Inam Khan lead the charge by taking three wickets each while Nawaz Khan and Nadeem Baig took two and one respectively.
Not only were they dominant with the bowl but IAP proved the target to be no trouble at all as they chased it in 17.5 overs for the loss of just three wickets. Umer Ishtiaq made 44 from 39, while Muhammad Iqbal made 42 from 40 to give their team the decided advantage in scoring. Abdul Rahim, Ali Sohail and Rashid Saad Siddiquie took one wicket each.
