The Royal Stars beat the Smashers by nine runs in an absolutely thrilling contest at the Asifabad Ground.
The Royal Stars batted first and two spectacular knocks; by Wasif (108 from 61) and Umair Nasir (62 from 34) helped the team reach a massive total of 220 in just 20 overs for the loss of six wickets. Zia Moin, Bilal Nadeem and Osama Zaid took two wickets each.
The Smashers performed brilliantly and came very close to winning. Imran Sajjad smashed 37 from 16 and Bilal Nadeem made 36 from 22. Ali Zain Haider made 21 from 16 and Zia Moin scored an impressive half-century from just 30 balls. Adnan Maqsood contributed 23 from 13 as the Smashers made 211 in 20 overs for the loss of nine wickets. Asif took an impressive four wickets while Umair Nasir took two, Arham Ajmal and Hasan Tariq took one.
