The all important final of the KheloKricket 23rd Challengers Corporate Cup with DSA CC batting first against Atlas Pakistan.
The batting side were off to a rocky start after losing opener Ameer and one down Fahad early on in the innings. The team continued to lose wickets with Anas Ahmed playing an anchor role for his side with a very valuable 38 off 26. Sajid Mushtaq furthered his cause with a much needed 47 not out off 33 which included 2 fours and 2 sixes. Atlas bowler Saqib Khan kept the pressure on, picking up 3 wickets in his spell for just 14 runs while Shahid, Haris and Bahadur took a wicket each to limit DSA CC to 162 for 8 in 20 overs.
In response, Atlas Pakistan lost opener Ahmed Hussain for just 9 runs but it was all smooth sailing after that. Obaid Ur Rehman and Shahid Mirani were unstoppable, with Obaid scoring 69 off 36 and Shahid scoring a blistering 60 off 27 to help Atlas Pakistan to an easy victory in 16.4 overs. Eventually DSA bowlers were able to break the partnership, but it was too little, too late.
Atlas Pakistan won by 5 wickets and are champions!
